The Rajasthan project will feature four indigenous Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs). Each reactor will generate 700 MW, giving the project a combined capacity of 2,800 MW.

The nuclear power project is planned near Banswara, Rajasthan, close to the Mahi River. The site is expected to become an important part of India's growing nuclear power network.
